Whilst reading up some background info on KK (see below) we were directed to Long Bets, basically an online portal where members of the public are invited to place their bets or predictions about our future or... on the future. A few hard rules: one, betters have to use their real name, two, a bet cannot be changed and three, all winnings become philanthropic gifts:The Long Bets site is ..an arena for competitive, accountable predictions (Long Bets)...a forum for focused discussion and debate about prediction...an attractive tool for philanthropic giving...a way to foster better long-term thinking.

- By 2030, commercial passengers will routinely fly in pilotless planes.

- At least one human alive in the year 2000 will still be alive in 2150. 148 years 

- By the end of the year 2020, a professional sports team that is part of either the National Football League, the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, or Major League Soccer will integrate and have a woman as a team member/player. (US)

- By 2020, bioterror or bioerror will lead to one million casualties in a single event.

- By 2100 a world government will be in place and in control of: business law, environmental law, and weapons of mass destruction.

- Music CDs compatible with current (2002) CD players will still be sold regularly in 2015.
